Stress Management

This article will address some key points about stress and how it relates to your health. Stress is a major part of everyones life. We all have it. There is good stress and bad stress. The most important factor is how you cope with stress and how your body deals with stress. Having too much stress or not dealing with stress can have a major impact on your overall physical and mental health. Stress can cause or be related to many serious health conditions, such as heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure, weight problems and much more. It is important to recognize the physical symptoms of stress and to manage your stress.

Many factors contribute to our everyday stress - trying to balance a career and family; money problems; major events like a wedding or buying a house; jobs; divorce; loss of a loved one; war; natural disasters - to name a few.

It is important to take time for you and to manage your everyday stress. One of the best ways to relieve stress is to exercise. This will release endorphins and can help with irritability, mood swings, depression and many other symptoms. It also will help with weight control, especially if you are a stress eater.

One of the best stress management tips I can offer is relaxation. Meditation, yoga, massage, aromatherapy and listening to music are just a few suggestions for relaxing. Pampering yourself is a great way to relax and relieve stress.

Another key stress management tip is to eat healthy. A healthy diet is very important in coping with stress and preventing any other serious health problems as a result of stress. This will also help relieve symptoms such as constipation, indigestion and stomach cramping.

Be proactive is probably the most crucial stress management tip. Recognize the symptoms and take action to manage and relieve your stress. If your symptoms are severe and you are unable to cope, seek advice from your doctor.
