Iran; Tactical Error in Oil Supply Threat

Iran assumed that it could bully the world into allowing them to have nuclear weapons by threatening to cut off oil shipments and severely effect oil supply. Thus raising costs significantly. Unfortunately for them, this threat may aid those they oppose in moving forward faster to insure they are never allowed to create nuclear weapons, nuclear power or WMD of any kind. Why do I say this you ask?

Well you see it appears to me when Iran threatened to raise oil prices, thus changing the dynamics of the World Oil prices if the US did not back off, they did two things. They now gave the American People a reason for animosity against a nation that the American people themselves have no problem with, just the leadership.

So in this case there will be more political support for a war if the UN Security council says Iran and her nuclear weapon building is now into a no fly zone. Secondly if the oil folks are kind of running things, well then higher oil prices mean they make more, thus why wouldn't they escalate the situation with Iran rather than back off.

I believe Iran's leadership thinks that America is all about oil, but they made a tactical move in how they are handling this and they are digging themselves a hole over there, and that just is not good for humankind in the present period. Think on this in 2006.
