Reception Desks that Get Noticed

They're out there, waiting, sometimes for five minutes, other times it may be hours. However long they are out there, one thing is certain; they have noticed the reception desk!

You never get a second chance to make a first impression, and this couldn't be truer than in your business. Your reception desk is where your clients will first be introduced to you as a business worker. They will meet your receptionist and notice his or her desk. If it's too small and cluttered, this will invoke a feeling of mistrust and a lack of confidence in your clients. Is this really what you want?

Let us help you find the receptionist desk that will make that first impression one that will last forever. The reception desk should be roomy with plenty of space. It should have enough room to get the work done, but it should also have space for extra things. Candy, business cards, and sign in sheets, should all fit comfortably on the reception desk without giving the appearance of being overcrowded.

Choosing the best reception desk is extremely important to your business. Not only should the desk be roomy enough, but it should reflect the style and the nature of the business as well. It should be an extension of the waiting room. Whatever style of interior design that has been used in the waiting room, that style should be used around the reception desk. This helps connect the receptionist with the clients in a visual sense.

Remember, the receptionist should never be "hidden away" from the clients. Choose a desk that is as open, friendly, and personable as you expect your receptionist to be. This may mean using open work, glass, or other "clear" materials in the construction of the desk.
