Go to the Better Business Bureau and ask for help and advice on this particular company and on home based businesses. Go to the company website and read, read, read, even the small print! Do not sign any contract until you have done your research. And in the same turn, get any promises form the company in a written contract as well.

* If the information is available, talk to people who have invested in this company. If the information is not available, ask for it.
